Wisconsin Blaze Volleyball Coach
Sports Training Coach
Emma is a volleyball coach for Wisconsin Blaze and offers volleyball-specific training for Blaze365. A native of Racine, WI, Emma was an all-conference volleyball player at Racine Park High School.
Emma attended Lawrence University upon graduating from high school where she played defensive specialist/outside hitter on the volleyball team. She was a team captain both her junior and senior years. Emma earned Academic All Conference honors in 2010, 2011 and 2012. She graduated from Lawrence University in 2013 with a degree in Biological Anthropology. In 2015, she graduated from Emory University with a Master of Public Health degree.
Upon returning to the Fox Valley, Emma coached the JV volleyball team at Little Chute High School and is currently an assistant coach for the Lawrence University volleyball team. She is excited to work with our Wisconsin Blaze volleyball athletes! In her own words…
“I truly love this sport! Volleyball teaches you so much about life – how to work as a team; how to push yourself to be your best; how to battle back when you’re down; that you may not always be winning, but you can still be successful, and I think that’s what I love the most about it. It’s so much more than the skills needed on the court – it’s life. Years down the road, you don’t remember the plays, the stats or the score, you remember the values that were instilled in you along the way. That’s what’s important to me as a coach, and what I hope to teach players.”
When she’s not on the volleyball court, Emma works as a tobacco free coalition manager for the American Lung Association doing tobacco prevention and control work. She loves animals and has a black lab puppy named Cooper and two cats named Pia and Lola. In her spare time, Emma enjoys outdoor activities like camping and hitting the beach.
We are so happy to have Emma coaching our Blaze volleyball teams!
